As you probably know by now, this past Friday, President Trump signed into law the $2.2 Trillion Corona Virus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES).
Title 1 of that piece of legislation is called the Keeping American Workers Paid and Employed Act.
This program is designed to provide relief for small businesses who have been negatively impacted by this outbreak.
The provision within this act which addresses this is called the Paycheck Protection Program.
The federal government has allocated $349 Billion to be lent to small businesses to help them pay bills and most importantly pay employees.
