Leading the fight to preserve Surety Bail for bail agents in California

REPORT FROM THE PRESIDENT – FEB, 2024,

 Dear Friends,

There are some new and exciting things happening at CBAA. On February 22,2024 we are heading to Sacramento to meet with key legislators in the state capital. We are reaching out to you to support bail through legislative actions. We have re-activated our PAC Fund. I’d like to thank Michael Ziemer and Joe Lombardo of BAIL USA/CRUM FORSTER Co. for starting us off with a committment of $2500. We need each of you to support as well. These funds will help us to gain influence with legislator. (click here to support: PAC DONATION)

We have an excellent lobbyist in Sacramento (David Quintana) that keeps us informed on new and changing legislation. We need your support there also. So take some time and consider a monthly contribution to help perserve our profession. Reach out to us and let us know how you can help.

We are launching our membership campaign. Renew your membership or become a new member today (click here: Membership)

We have established a Fugitive Recovery Committee. They are meeting with the Department of Insurance at the end of the month to gain more clarity on the Fugitivery Recovery appointment form and process.

Mark your calendars, October 13-14 will be our annual conference at the Viegas Casino and Spa in the San Diego area. It wil be packed with great speakers and fun as usual.

We will pursue every avenue to keep surety bail alive in California. We will do our best to keep you informed along the way. So, DONATE to the PAC, keep your MEMBERSHIP active, use only CBAA EDUCATION, stay engaged and informed.

I invite you to call and/or email me anytime with you thought and comments:
